Common questions

Icebreaker is a real-world dating app for people who are physically in the same space. When you tap "Go Live", your verified profile becomes discoverable to other live users within your chosen radius (30–60 metres). If two people both show interest in each other, an Icebreaker unlocks — giving you both the signal to approach without guessing.
To go live you need to: (1) verify your email address — check your inbox for a verification link, (2) complete the live selfie verification, and (3) have your account fully set up and location access enabled. If your email is verified but you still can't go live, check that location permission is enabled for Icebreaker in your device settings.
After clicking the verification link in your inbox, return to the Icebreaker app. The app should refresh your status automatically within a few seconds. If it doesn't, try tapping GO LIVE once — the app performs a live status check at that point. Still stuck? Close and reopen the app, or go to Settings → Email Verification and tap to refresh.
First, check your spam or junk folder — emails from automated services sometimes land there. The email comes from noreply@icebreaker-924c2.firebaseapp.com. If you don't see it after a few minutes, go to Settings → Email Verification in the app and tap to resend. Note: there is a 60-second cooldown between resend attempts. If you're still having trouble, email us at icebreaker.support@gmail.com.
Sending an Icebreaker uses one Icebreaker credit. Free credits refresh daily, and additional boosts or premium options may be available through the Shop inside the app. Credits are not transferable and have no cash value.
From the Nearby tab, tap any user's card and use the block/report option. From a chat, tap the person's name at the top and choose block or report. Blocked users are removed from your discovery immediately and cannot contact you. We take all reports seriously and review them promptly.
Icebreaker is free to download and use. A limited number of live session credits are included free each day. Additional credits and premium features are available through the in-app Shop.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, photos, messages, and data within 30 days. This action cannot be undone. If you have trouble deleting your account, email us at icebreaker.support@gmail.com and we will delete it manually.
Icebreaker is built for iOS and Android smartphones. iOS 16+ and Android 10+ are recommended for the best experience. A desktop or web version is not currently available.
